La cantante barbadense Rihanna causó revuelo anoche con su "look" en la gala de los premios American Music Awards (AMA) 2013 al llevar un peinado estilo "dubi".
La intérprete de 25 años lució regia en un sensual diseño negro de la colección de Jean Paul Gaultier, de la primavera 2013, para el magno evento en el que se convirtió en la primera ganadora del Premio Ícono en los premios AMA y en el que se impuso como la artista favorita de soul R&B.
Sin embargo, pese al vestido que destacaba sus curvas, tenía con escote, cuero y transparencias que dejaban ver el bronceado de la joven cantante, lo que más dio de qué hablar fue su peinado extravagante.
La cantante lució una especie de ¿dubi?. Sí, esa manera particular de acomodar el pelo para estirarlo con hebillas alrededor de la cabeza, que se inventó para alisar el pelo a falta de blowers, planchas y otras herramientas, y cuya definición ni siquiera recoge el diccionario.
Pues el "dubi" de Rihanna desató una ola de críticas en las redes sociales. Aunque la cantante destaca por su estilo camaleónico y su pelo ha pasado por cortes radicales y tonalidades que van desde negro, rojo, castaño, rubio hasta gris, a muchos de sus seguidores no les gustó su peinado.

Tres peluqueros puertorriqueños coincidieron que aunque el ‘dubi’ puede tener efectos beneficiosos para el cabello, no se trata de un peinado y no debes salir de la casa con él, mucho menos lucirlo en una actividad de gala.
“De los artistas puedes esperar cualquier cosa”, señala Delfín Olmo, quien añade que aunque hay mujeres que logran un buen resultado al hacerlo en casa, nunca ha visto que alguna clienta llegar a un salón solicitando que le hagan un ‘dubi’ .
Por su parte, Davidonne señala que se trata de un “remedio casero” y lo cataloga como una técnica antigua para mantener el cabello bien lacio y estirado. “Hoy por hoy hay tantos productos eficientes que hacen que no sea necesario recurrir al ‘dubi’ . Si aún así, la mujer quiere hacer, porque es efectivo, tiene que hacerlo bien, porque sino las hebillas crean ondas”, añade.
Mientras que Samuel Jeremías no lo recomienda nunca. “Prefiero el cabello con cuerpo y me afecta visualmente cada vez que veo uno por ahí”, menciona.
No obstante, como la artista siempre impone moda, quién sabe de pronto sean muchas las que decidan ir a las fiestas navideñas en "dubi".
