El uso de los "smartphones" o móviles inteligentes y las tabletas se ha multiplicado en el último año en Tailandia debido a la extensión de las redes de 3G, según un informe citado en la prensa local.
El informe elaborado por Ericsson Thailand recogió que el número de usuarios aumentó del 17 por ciento en 2012 al 36 por ciento este año entre el total de teléfonos móviles, sobre todo en las áreas urbanas donde hay mayor acceso al 3G.
La multinacional sueca señaló que un número creciente de tailandeses están sustituyendo los ordenadores portátiles por teléfonos de última generación para navegar en Internet y consultar el correo electrónico.
"En Tailandia, el 44 por ciento de los usuarios utilizan los teléfonos inteligentes para enviar mensajes, el 69 por ciento para navegar en Internet, el 65 por ciento para las redes sociales, el 32 por ciento para vídeo clips y el 57 por ciento para las aplicaciones", precisa el informe.
En el informe, Ericsson ha realizado una encuesta entre más de 42 países sobre el uso de las nuevas tecnologías y los hábitos de los usuarios.
Korea es el país con una mayor penetración de los "smartphones" y tabletas (91 por ciento), seguida de Hong Kong (83 por ciento), Noruega (81 por ciento), mientras que España se encuentra en el puesto nueve con un 67 por ciento de usuarios entre el total de los teléfonos móviles.
